 Ear Protection

Superior Ear Protection means superior products, and no one has a more extensive selection anywhere online or off than WiperMaster.com, the industry price and quality leader for safety supplies that meet or even exceed US OSHA standards. At WiperMaster.com, we take great pride in providing you not just with the very best ear protection products available on the market today, but also with something that goes far beyond our incredible inventory of disposable coveralls, nitrile gloves, lab coats, vests, and respirators: your complete satisfaction.

That's right, in spite of our comprehensive catalog of thousands of safety products and industrial apparel, we consider your satisfaction our greatest offering of all - better than the first-class ear protection we carry, more important than our boot covers, and the main goal behind all our effort. That's because we are still family-owned and operated after all these years of supplying American labor and business, and we take your WiperMaster.com shopping experience personally: let us know what you think, because we love hearing from our customers, potential and actual!

With us, every person is a potential customer, and every customer a potential friend! Because like no other company anywhere online or off, WiperMaster.com is about building relationships. Dollars and cents are important, but the ultimate goal to us is a better life in a better world. Our occupational health and safety products are but a modest contribution towards that goal, but bit by bit we intend to work with one and all to make improvements where we may and leave things better than we found them.

That's just how we like to do business around here, and we hope you'll consider doing business with a business that respects your business!

  A Little About Your Hearing

Hearing, or audition, is a kind of mechanosensation, or sensitivity of molecules outside oneself. In common with other vetebrates, our sense of hearing involves vibrations detected by our ears and transduced into electrical nerve impulses which are perceived by the brain. Noise-Induced Hearing Loss, or NIHL, occurs when too great an intensity of sound, or traveling air pressure, is transmitted to our ears, overstimulating its delicate structures over time. But it is not only a matter of time; intensity is most important, and loud sounds cause damage in shorter periods of time. For example, exposure to 85 dB(A) for 8 hours a day is considered the ceiling on what is deemed safe, but exposure to 91 dB(A) has a cap of just 2 hours to be deemed safe. It is important to note that such figures are but minimal safety guidelines and many people may be damaged even by levels below these.
